The Getinge Group is developing rapidly both in terms of sales volumes and customer offerings. Today, Getinge has around 15 000 employees, over 100 proprietary sales companies globally, and 28 production facilities in 9 countries. In 2012, net sales amounted to SEK 24.2 billion and pre-tax profit to SEK 3.4 billion. Since the listing on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 1993, the Group has had an annual average growth of sales of 14%.
The Group is organised in three business areas: Medical Systems, Extended Care, and Infection Control.
The market
In recent years, Getinge has expanded strongly in North America and in a number of growth markets. Europe, which was previously the Group's dominant market, currently accounts for less than half of total sales.
