Getinge acquires Parker Bath - and good growth synergy

Getinge has acquired Parker Bath Ltd, of New Milton, England, as a further step in the Group’s strategy of complementing its own product development by acquiring companies with strong product ranges.

Parker Bath has annual sales of SEK 150 million and 140 employees mainly in the UK, France and the US. The company develops and manufactures bathing systems, mainly for the semi-institutional market where growth potential is considered to be very good.

"The acquisition of Parker Bath provides a significant boost to the Group’s product range in the ‘assisted living’ sector," says Johan Malmquist, Getinge’s President and CEO. "Combined with our existing market organisation we should be able to grow faster than the market over the next year."

The acquisition is expected to have a positive impact on the EPS from 2001.
