Sustainability means the needs of people living today are met without jeopardising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable development is a combination of three parts: ecological sustainability, financial sustainability and social sustainability. For Getinge, this means for example that financial advances may not be made at the expense of destroying the environment or the health and wellbeing of people.
Getinge Code of Conduct provides guidance on sustainability activities
Getinge has expanded considerably in the past 15 years and today the Group conducts production and sales activities throughout the world. This progress has made a major contribution to Getinge’s financial success, yet also imposes new demands on the Group’s ability to manage regional and national differences in such areas as legislation, business traditions and ethics. The basis of this work is Getinge’s fundamental values which are formulated in the company’s Code of Conduct.
